Located at the foot of Mt. Hood, The Recreate Inn provides a central Mountain setting for the recreation minded group. This house is ideal for family vacations, business retreats, ski camps, etc. During the winter you can ski or sled on Mt. Hood, golf at a beautiful 27-hole course, snowshoe or sit back, and relax with a great book. Our spacious 2-story chalet has plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the comfortable surroundings. The Inn is situated in a nice area of homes and backs up to a heavily forested greenbelt that is frequented by deer and other wildlife. Our prime location is within walking distance to the Welches Shopping Center, the Salmon River and The Resort at the Mountain.

Each room is distinctively decorated to highlight one of the many recreational opportunities available nearby. All five bedrooms are outfitted with a full bed and twin (upper bunk), side tables, and reading lamps. The Golf Room has an additional twin so you can sleep a twosome and caddy. The Fishing Room also includes a second twin/twin bunk and so it sleeps a boatload of five! The three other bedrooms sleep 2 or 3 in comfort. Each room has a thermostat for individual comfort. The large family room upstairs is equipped with TV, VCR, games, and a wet bar.

Excellent opportunities abound for hiking and wildlife viewing. The Salmon River Trail winds native old-growth forest along the river that runs crystal clear all year. Salmon and Steelhead are famous fighters in both the Salmon and Sandy Rivers (but are just as entertaining to view spawning as to catch.) Several varieties of trout lurk in nearby lakes and streams. Bike riding is a joy on the flat roads or adventuresome on any of the many trails. There are also several restaurants and quaint shops that can be explored.

So whatever your recreational desires are, you'll find them nearby The Recreate Inn. After enjoying your favorite pastime come home to comfort and relax or curl up with a good book or game beside the warm glow of the pellet stove.
